May 6th is National Beverage Day and nothing completes a great-tasting nutritious lunch box better than a Rudi’s Gluten Free PB & J with a homemade fruit smoothie!
Growing up, a smoothie was also one of my favorite after-school snacks because it was quick and easy to make, while giving me healthy fruitful nutrition that would fill me up until dinnertime.
Throughout many years of trial and error, I have created one of the best tasting homemade smoothies (ok, I might be a little biased)! Most importantly, it is gluten free!
Kids love it when they have a smoothie in their lunch because they can consume it relatively quickly with their Rudi’s PB & J so they can spend more time playing during recess!
Here is the recipe for one 12-14 once serving, which should be enough to split amongst two lunch boxes:
Perfect Smoothie Ingredients:
½ Cup of 365 Organic Frozen Mixed Berries (Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries)
½ Cup of 365 Organic Frozen Raspberries
¾ Cup of Organic Orange Juice
¼ Cup of Organic Apple Juice
1 Scoop of Gluten-Free Vanilla Ice Cream
