Happy Friday Gluten-Free Readers!
In case you have not been following the Rudi’s Gluten-Free blog this week, this post provides a synopsis of what we discussed.
Since the Super Bowl is wrapping up our week on Sunday, we thought it was a good idea to talk about healthy, Gluten-Free ways to cope with the typically poor diets that most of us indulge in while watching the game. However, as discussed, Gluten-Free people once in awhile, like to indulge too!
On Monday, I provided the best Gluten-Free pasta options currently for sale in the US. Most Americans LOVE pasta, but until recently, families with Celiacs have been unable to partake in the coveted “pasta night!”
On Tuesday, we spoke about the rise of Celiac tolerance in our country’s instituions, specifically colleges and universities. The US justice system ruled it unlawful for colleges and universities to not provide Gluten-Free options within their meal plans as a violation of the ADA. It is great to see that our country is moving forward on a legal standpoint, for many of our establishments will in turn follow suit!
Wednesday, we discussed quick, tasty ways to fill our stomachs during our hectic weekday mornings getting the kids out the door and running errands. We learned that some of the most nutritious breakfast dishes are Gluten-Free!
Thursday, we discussed the daunting experience of coping with Super Bowl Sunday and its “gutbomb,” gluten-filled appetizers. Not that there’s anything wrong with consuming the occasional “heart-attack” meal, but I believe that non-Celiacs and Celiacs alike will realize that they enjoy a healthier Super Bowl. Feel Free to check out our Pinterest “GF Super Bowl” page for some awesome recipes that the entire family will love!
