Celiac Awareness Month has come and gone and our second annual Spread the Bread campaign was a huge success! Thanks to your help, we are excited to announce that we will be donating $20,000 to celiac support and education through our celiac partners. We thank them for helping us raise awareness about the campaign and their organizations.
Here’s where our donation will go:
- 38% to Celiac Disease Foundation
- 8% to Celiac Sprue Association
- 36% to Gluten Intolerance Group of North America
- 18% to The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness
Since its inception in 1990, Celiac Disease Foundation has been at the forefront of Celiac disease education, information, awareness, advocacy and support services to both the lay as well as the health professional communities. They are known for their extensive Gluten Free Resource Directory.
The Celiac Sprue Association is the largest non-profit celiac support group in America, with chapters and resource units across the country, and members worldwide. CSA dedicates its efforts to helping individuals with celiac disease and gluten sensitivities through research, education and support. They provide the CSA Recognition Seal to companies whose manufacturing processes pass their critical review.
The mission of the Gluten Intolerance Group of North America is to support persons with gluten intolerances, celiac disease, dermatitis herpetiformis, and other gluten sensitivities, through consumer and industry services and programs that positively promote healthy lives. Their Gluten-Free Certification Organization is the leading gluten-free certification in the world.
The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness is dedicated to increasing diagnoses of celiac disease and other gluten-related disorders and improving quality of life for those on a lifelong gluten-free diet. They’ve got a gluten-free cooking video series called Alternative Appetites featuring many awesome episodes and recipes.
Thank you Rudi’s fans for helping us Spread the Bread and support these great organizations!
