Ever have that issue where you are scrambling to hit the gym and in the mix of things forget to eat? It happens to me all the time and I can’t help but think each time that I need a list of good foods that will energize me for my workout to make it easy. Gluten- Free community here is your helpful list!
Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bread: A slice of any of our Gluten-Free Breads with whatever topping you want. The complex carbs will release energy slowly to keep you energized throughout your whole work-out!
Fruit: Such an easy thing before a work out! A quick bowl of berries or a medium sized apple are both naturally gluten-free options that will provide you Sucrose giving you a quick burst of energy for a high intensity short workout!
Protein, protein,protein! Beans and Gluten-Free Greek Yogurt are both packed of protein and again they provide the slower releasing energy to keep you happy throughout your workout!
Chocolate : Chocolate before a workout? It sounds ridiculous but it works. Go for the dark chocolate (the higher cocoa content the better!), this again will give you a quick boost of energy just like fruit! Moderation is key here though- keep it to 100 calorie serving to give you the right balance.
Bananas: PACKED WITH CARBS! Great quick snack before a workout, just like most of these foods they will release energy for your body slowly so you don’t get too tired too quickly. Plus, They are naturally gluten-free so you don’t need to think twice about if you can eat them or not!
