Hello Gluten-free followers! Happy Tuesday! Over the past week or so we have been asking R followers about recipes. Questions such as, what is your favorite Gluten-free Soup to go along with R favorite GF grilled cheese? We also posed a challenge to R followers; how to try a new recipe to get out of your “gf cooking box” over the weekend? We were so impressed by the response we decided to share some of R favorites on R blog! Thanks to all who shared what was cooking in there Gluten-free kitchen! We R totally inspired and cannot wait to give all of these great recipes a try!
First up! A alternative recipe based on this Slowcoooker creamy chicken and wild rice soup!
-Dawn Brown I made this minus the slow cooker, used GF flour, and also brown rice instead of the boxed stuff. It was good and I even froze some and it thawed just as well as having it fresh the first time around
Or how about this Hamburger soup made by April Fiet!
Ever heard of BBQ Beef cups? Kandi Slocum mentioned these as a house favorite
Looking for a few other simple and creative recipes?
Andrea Price recommends this: Broccoli and cheese soup: 2 lbs frozen broccoli, 1 can rotel, 43 oz of chicken broth, 12 oz Velveeta or American cheese; simmer all ingredients except the cheese for about half an hour, cube the cheese and add it to the soup. Once the cheese is melted, purée with an emulsifying blender until you reach a desired consistency. (You can also add a tbsp of cornstarch to thicken it up). Use Rudi’s bread for dipping. I made this in my crock pot yesterday for dinner, and am eating the leftovers as I type this for lunch
Kimberly Coger reminds us not to forget the croutons! Check out these awesome GF crumblies! I used melted Earth Balance (dairy free) butter, parsley flakes, garlic & herb Mrs. Dash, then baked in oven on low to dry out.
Be sure to post on R facebook wall in the upcoming weeks and maybe you will be R next follower to be published on R blog!
Happy Gluten-free eating!
