As the weekend approaches we are all trying to think of what to do each night so we can have the most fun we possibly can. Usually weekend nights entail going out to dinner, maybe a movie or Zoo Lights, but it almost always involves spending money. Game nights are completely underrated! Staying in with some friends or the family, talking, laughing, and playing games usually is a night to remember. Depending on the game you can learn something about your friend that you would never have otherwise known! Getting to know someone’s humor through Apples to Apples or their competitive nature through Taboo always leads to a night full of laughter and memories:)
This past weekend I was able to stay at my dear friends’, The Lyle’s, Winter Park home. After a full day of fun skiing we were trying to figure out what to do that night. Connor, Whitney, and I were going to see Lincoln at the local theater but their younger brother Tanner wouldn’t have been able to come. So we decided to have the night in and Mrs. Lyle, Whitney, Connor, Tanner, and I all played games. It was the goofiest thing, everyone began to show their true colors as the games went on and things started to get more competitive. We all had a great time and were able to get to bed at a decent hour so that our next day wasn’t ruined by lack of sleep!
A game night might not sound that fun to you right now but you can make it into anything you want. Play a game you have never heard of, or just play charades! You can turn it into a fun cocktail night with the girls or a rowdy night gluten free beer night with the whole gang. The possibilities are endless and you will save money- what more could you want?:)
