Delicious Gluten-Free Italian Hoagies for National Hoagie Day!

Tomorrow is National Hoagie Day and we are very happy to provide a gluten-free way to celebrate with our gluten free hot dog rolls!

 

It is hard to pass up Italian hoagies for any lunch occasion.  Rudi’s Gluten-Free Hot Dog Rolls are the perfect size for your kid’s lunch box or a cocktail party slider.  Traditionally made with three different styles of meat, salami, prosciutto and capicola, Italian hoagies are bursting with a complex flavor profile compared to most sandwiches.

 

Our favorite hoagies come toasted with caramelized onions, peppers and garlic as a garnish.  If you are typically crunched for time to pack an extravagant lunch in the morning, best to sauté your peppers and onions the night before and store them in your refrigerator.

 

Below we have listed the ingredients that create an excellent Italian Hoagie:

 

Ingredients

Rudi’s Gluten-Free Hot Dog Rolls
Caramelized Onion and Red Bell Pepper (sauté in olive oil, add minced garlic towards end of sauté on med-low heat)
Prosciutto
Capicola
Salami
Lettuce
Thinly Sliced Tomato
Provolone Cheese
Red Wine Vinegar (lightly brush on one side of roll)
