Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bakery Proves Gluten-Free Doesn’t Mean Bread Free at the Denver Metro Chapter of Celiac Sprue Association’s 4th Annual Incredible Edible Gluten Free Fair

The Denver Metro Chapter #17 of Celiac Sprue Association (CSA), Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bakery, staff from the CSA gluten-free approved restaurant, Root Down, additional gluten- free vendors, and Colorado residents with celiac disease or other gluten intolerances interested in learning about gluten-free food choices in Colorado.


On Sunday, Aug. 29, the Denver Metro Chapter #17 of CSA will host its 4th Annual Incredible Edible Gluten Free Fair from 1 to 4 p.m. at Jefferson County Fairgrounds. During the event, which is FREE to the public, vendors will provide Colorado residents suffering from celiac disease and other gluten intolerances the opportunity to sample various gluten-free foods, from cookies and pastas to cakes and breads.

One exhibitor at the Fair will include Boulder-based Rudi’s Organic Bakery, which is making life brighter for everyone who suffers from celiac disease or gluten intolerances by giving them another way to enjoy bread again with its new line, Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bakery, hitting stores nationally this month. According to CSA, one in 133 Americans has celiac disease, and it’s estimated that nearly 40,000 people in Colorado have the disease, not to mention the countless others who are suffering from less severe forms of gluten intolerances. With the only existing treatment for celiac today being a 100 percent gluten-free diet, it’s not surprising the gluten-free food industry reached more than $1.5 billion in 2009, providing a growing number of gluten-free choices to those needing to eat a diet free of gluten.

As part of its commitment to elevating the level of education and awareness on celiac disease and gluten-intolerance, Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bakery is partnering with various organizations like the CSA on local and national initiatives.
